In the Beginning

So I've decided that I am going to read the bible in a year. I've decided this for a few reasons. 1:1 - I'm not comfortable enough to argue (discuss) my religious points of view because I don't have any evidence to go off of. 1:2 - I had a friend facebook message me that she thought the sermon our paster gave (I just so happen to miss because I was still recovering from the sickness) spoke to my first blog post. 2:2 - I want to be able to justify teaching my daughter Christianity.

My plan is to read a little from the old testament and a little from the new testament every day for a year and blog about it every day. My challenge to you, readers, is to get some more people to follow my blog so we can have "discussions" on the verses and to help me stay on my goal.

Of course there will be other topics in the blogs, but I want to challenge myself with something worthwhile and meaningful and have something for you all to actually read and be able to have thoughtful interacts with and not just mindless reading.

So tomorrow will be the first post. Hope your're ready.

Until next time, dear readers...

Congrats to the Broncos for their overtime win. Get it Tebow.

  1. I've actually done this twice, and you're going about it in a good way. Don't try to start at Genesis and read through, somewhere around Numbers you'll want to quit. Here's the plan I used, good luck! (New/Old Testament NIV) They will email it to you. http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/readingplans/
