Today's Verses and What do we do this summer

Genesis 23:1-24:51 - Nice little story about Isaac getting a wife (although, they're related. Seems to be a lot of that in Genesis).

Matthew 8:1-17 - Jesus fulfilling prophecies of healing

Psalm 9:13-20 - OK, if the bible has music in it, then how can we justify cutting the arts from public schools!! It's proof that people have been passing down and learning music for ever.

Proverbs 3:1-6 - Trust the Lord

Many of you know that we have been taking grad school classes for the past three summers. We were successful in obtaining the degree and now we actually have our summer off. We won't have much money to do anything because we weren't able to save (thank you State), but here's what I'm thinking we'll be able to pull off. Feel free to add some suggestions if you've had a successful summer with little money.

Paint the living room

Our living room has this really cool, hand painted vine/flower thingy on the wall. Not a selling point for us. Kat has the color in mind, but anything would be better than what we have.

Go to the beach

I recently took a trip down to Wilmington with some students for an honor band. We stayed in this hotel about 5 minutes from the beach that was crazy cheap. Now, I know that it'll be "in season," but it'll still probably be less expensive than most. We also have family that lives down there, that's always an option.

Visit Family

We love spending time with our family. One of our cousins has a birthday during the summer. Good excuse to make a trip to Virginia.

Symphony

Enough said. We don't make it out much to see some good old classical music.

Any other ideas, feel free to post!
